June 10, 2010 – Carlsbad, CA – This Tuesday, June 15th in Hollywood, California, TransWorld SKATEboarding will be honoring Matt Hensley as the 2010 Legend Award Recipient. Immediately following the awards show and wo…rld premiere of TransWorld SKATEboarding’s 22nd film, Hallelujah at the Avalon Hollywood, Macbeth, Hensley’s Pub & Grill, Black Label and Berentzen will be hosting a private party for Matt Hensley in the Bardot Room. They will be celebrating his title as the 2010 TWS Legend Award Recipient and his many accomplishments in skateboarding over the years. Matt Hensley is most widely known for his accordion playing with Flogging Molly, a seven-piece American Celtic punk band that formed in Los Angeles, California and is currently signed to SideOneDummy Records. However, his influence on skateboarding is apparent, as he was one of the top early 90’s street skaters that took skateboarding to new levels, mastering styles that still stand strong today.
