Bob Schmidt said the following in an interview about the music of Flogging Molly: “Sometimes we’re a bit more punk, then we’re more soul or folk. With all the energy on stage, I suppose you could say we’re more of a punk band, but musically we’re more of a folk band. Anyway, we don’t think in these terms, we just go out there and do what we do, and it comes out the way it comes out.”
